Key West Activities & Tours

Key West Things To Do

Key West offers a variety of activities for all ages. Here are a few suggestions, our friendly staff can assist in booking trips for any Key West activity.

Light Tackle / Offshore Fishing: Fish with some of Key West's top guides in the deep sea off Key West. The Atlantic is full of species including mahi-mahi, sailfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna and king mackerel. Our reefs and wrecks in the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico offer plentiful snapper, grouper, mackerel and cobia fishing. We will kindly suggest a few knowledgable Key West captains for you to go fishing with. Most charters are for a half day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours).

Flats / Fly Fishing: The shallow waters of the Keys offer a tremendous and exciting backdrop for some of the toughest gamefish. Tarpon, permit, bonefish, barracuda and sharks are some of the main species that are available year-round. Some species may have a season where they are more plentiful. The winter season yields more explosive action from barracuda and sharks. The spring, summer and fall are hosts to some of the best tarpon and permit fishing in the world. Our bonefishing is exceptional throughout the Keys and some of our bonefish easily get over 10- pounds.

Diving & Snorkeling: The reef that protects the Florida Keys is a mere 7- miles from Key West. The reef comes up shallow enough for snorkelers to enjoy the marine life up close. For divers, there are several wrecks within close proximity to Key West. Our most recent addition to our artificial reef system is the Vandenburg. This wreck offers a haven for all types of fish and has many features for novice and expert divers. There are also a few places in town where visitors can get certified and go diving within a few days.

Parasailing: Want to see Key West from a whole different angle, go for a parasail ride. It's a fun way to get on the water and up in the air even if it's just for a few snapshots of the island from up in the air.

Jet Ski Tours: Take a tour around our island by jet ski. Several companies in Key West offer tours that go completely around Key West with a knowledgable guide. The tour lasts approximately 2- hours.

Kayak Rentals / Tours: Key West has many mangrove islands and plenty of places to explore by kayak. Several companies offer guided tours around the Key West area while some travel to areas in the Lower Keys to launch kayaks and tour. Paddle boarding has become a popular sport in Key West too.
